While the price match in question happened about 10 days ago, I just never got around to asking on the forums until now. On 12/29/17, I went to my local store to get a specific game, Agents of Mayhem. Best Buy had it for $40 and I wanted to have them price match GameStop's price of $10 for a new, GameStop is known for its midnight launch and game trade ins. Over the years there the number of retailers selling games has grown so one must wonder does GameStop price match? We regret to inform you that at this time GameStop does not have Price match policy in place so they do not price match. As soon as GameStop starts price matching we Gamestop stores wont even price match their own website, let alone anyone else. I mentioned that a game was $5 less on the website when I was shopping at Gamestop. The employee told me that it's an online only price, but ended up giving me that price because they were sold out online. So, it's no totally out of the question (but it was only $5.) To clear out some negativity here, GameStop doesn’t price match other places but we will price match online as long as it isn’t an item that is an online sale exclusive, or as long as you’re not trying to match a new item price with a preowned price. Like sometimes we will have stuff in store cheaper than online but that’s because we have special sales in store only on occasion. Also depends if you’re at a Prestige store :)
